This weekend was in deed a wonderful one, I managed to give a talk on the Effective Youth Leadership to aspiring young leaders of the fish youth movement. The approach I used this time was more less the emphasis that leaders are not born but are made. It all begins with the desire to lead...I shall post the details of this training later on here.
During the training I met members of Fish from Chepkoilel campus of the Moi University, this was a group I initiated back in 1993, and I was delighted to know that the group is still going strong 15 years latter.
The approach I emphasized to the Fish leadership is self sustainability and a stop to handouts and instead give training which empowers the youth to start getting into meaningful activities.
